The JAPAN EDITION collection was developed by a Japanese design team to suit the climate and trends of Japan. This coat is an adaptation of our classic original field coat. which originated as a hunting coat introduced by our founder Leon Leonwood Bean in 1924. It is made of a matte. natural nylon canvas material with a wrinkled finish. and is lightweight to suit the hot and humid climate of Japan.

We use spun yarn that is certified by the international standard GRS (Global Recycled Standard).

It has just the right amount of firmness. yet is lightweight. providing a soft. comfortable feel right from the start.
Water repellent finish
100% cotton corduroy trim on collar and cuffs
Can be hand washed
Please wash separately
Will shrink slightly when washed in water
Use a mild detergent
For off-white and light-colored items. use a non-fluorescent detergent.
Do not soak or leave the product wet.
Please be careful when wearing dark colors with white or light colors as they may transfer to other items when rubbed or wet.
Please avoid ironing the corduroy parts.
If the water-repellent effect weakens. please clean it with a commercially available water-repellent spray or consult a dry cleaner.
Use a pressing cloth when ironing
Additional Information
The gun patches on both shoulders have been removed. giving the jacket a cleaner. more refined look.
