The factory that produces this item is located in the Koto area of Shiga Prefecture. There is an abundance of groundwater flowing from the Suzuka mountain range. and water springs out at about 15°C throughout the year. which is what they use. The factory uses a large amount of water in various processes. and the used water is dumped into the river and then into Lake Biwa. but since Shiga Prefecture has the strictest standards for wastewater in Japan. they purify the wastewater using bacteria. The bacteria are managed 365 days a year at the treatment facility. and the polluted water is purified and returned to nature. working towards the sustainable use of water resources. Some of the wastewater is also treated at a public wastewater treatment plant.
