This denim jacket is based on the LEVI'S wartime model. with the number of buttons. pocket shape. rivet location. and stitching color. The length has been slightly extended to make it not too short and easy to wear. The original design had little shoulder slope. which caused wrinkles to accumulate from the shoulder to the armhole. but the shoulder slope has been lowered and the sleeve cap slightly higher to improve the silhouette. Original tuck buttons are used.
The fabric is 13oz red selvedge indigo denim. tightly woven to replicate the threads used in the 501XX from the late 50's to early 60's. The fabric has a beautiful vertical fading and a vintage feel. The vintage look is replicated with a wonderful finish. like an art piece. The process is repeated in a way that can only be achieved by hand. resulting in a one-of-a-kind feel.
