Rokuroen is a tea wholesaler founded in 1818 in Ogikubo Village (present-day Nishi-Ogikubo. Tokyo). It was founded in what is said to be the fief (territory) of Hattori Hanzo. a master carpenter of the Iga ninja. and is said to have discovered a unique cultural sphere through the trade of tea between Uji and Edo. Since its founding. the company has continued to preach the benefits of tea in order to promote the revitalization of physical energy. The current 14th generation owner runs the tea wholesaler Rokuroen. and also manages a live music venue of the same name. which has been in business since the 1990s due to the previous owner's love of music. and is simply a renovated warehouse.
