This is an old-fashioned technique that uses a dye called "sukumo" made from indigo leaves. which is fermented to create an indigo liquid and then dyed.
Unlike indigo dyeing with synthetic indigo. which is dyed in large quantities at once. each bead is dyed by hand in response to the state of the indigo liquid.
The more you use it. the more glossy and deep the indigo color of the beads will become. and you can enjoy the aging process.
